What is STP interest?
An STP or Systematic Transfer Plan moves a fixed amount of money from one mutual fund to another at regular intervals. Typically, an STP is used to transfer money between liquid or debt fund to an equity fund. This averages out an investor’s buying price in the equity fund and reduces his or her risk.
How is STP calculated?
It can be written as: V = nRT/P. “P” is pressure, “V” is volume, n is the number of moles of a gas, “R” is the molar gas constant and “T” is temperature. Thus, at STP, the ideal gas law can be written V = 0.022414n. Divide the mass of the gas weight by its molar mass to calculate n — the number of moles.
Is STP a fee?
If you equity fund has been held for more than 1 year then it is long term capital gains and is entirely tax free. However, you need to be cautious about doing STP on equity funds when held for less than 1 year. The redemption attracts 15% STCG tax and that adds to your cost.

What is STP value?
Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP) The universal value of STP is 1 atm (pressure) and 0o C. Note that this form specifically stated 0o C degree, not 273 Kelvin, even thought you will have to convert into Kelvin when plugging this value into the Ideal Gas equation or any of the simple gas equations.
What is STP used for?
Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is a Layer 2 network protocol used to prevent looping within a network topology. STP was created to avoid the problems that arise when computers exchange data on a local area network (LAN) that contains redundant paths.
