What is a Cataquack?
Cataquacks, also called Paihanas, Piahanas or Pihanas, are duck-like creatures that first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine on Gelato Beach. When they sense Mario nearby, they speed up and approach him. If they make contact, they will use their beaks to forcefully hurl Mario into the air.
Can you kill the ducks in Mario Sunshine?
In their Super Mario Sunshine incarnation, they appear as spiked red or blue spheres that move up and down tightropes. They can be found in Bianco Hills and Noki Bay, and they cannot be defeated, though spraying them with FLUDD slows them down. You need to avoid them.
