Is Zenhale a rescue inhaler?

Zenhale® is not a rescue medication. Your doctor should prescribe a rescue medication for you. Use the rescue medication if you have sudden asthma symptoms.

What type of inhaler is Zenhale?

Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid. It is used to prevent asthma attacks because it reduces swelling and irritation in the walls of the small air passages of the lungs. Formoterol belongs to the class of medications known as bronchodilators.

Is Zenhale used for COPD?

Advair and Symbicort are indicated for both the management of asthma and COPD, Zenhale for the management of asthma and Breo Ellipta for the management of COPD. Symbicort, BreoEllipta and Advair Diskus are available as a dry powder inhaler.

Atrovent is used to to prevent bronchospasm, or narrowing airways in the lungs, in people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Atrovent HFA may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
