What is my setpoint weight?
What is my setpoint weight?
Essentially, a set point weight is the weight that our bodies want to be at in order to function optimally and feel best. It’s the weight that our bodies can maintain effortlessly- no micromanaging, counting calories, weighing food, etc!
Why is my body stuck at a certain weight?
If you’ve been stuck in a plateau for weeks, it usually indicates that calorie input (what you’re eating) is equal to calorie output (what you’re burning through physical activity). The only way to break through a weight-loss plateau is to cut calorie intake further and/or burn more calories through exercise.

How do I change my body fat set point?
Exercise, and particularly strength training, is the best method for reducing body fat. And the more you exercise, the more you may be able to change your body weight set point due to decreases in body fat levels and increases in lean body mass.
