Lost
Species Is Rediscovered
A
team led by a Texas A&M anthropologist discovered
a group of primates not seen alive in 85 years. Pygmy
tarsiers are the size of a small mouse and weigh less
than 2 ounces. Anthropologist Sharon Gursky-Doyen, along
with one of her graduate students—Nanda Grow—and a team
of locals trapped three of the creatures in late August.
Over two months, two males and one female were trapped
and released with radio collars so scientists could track
the creatures' movements.

Elephant
Walk
The
tradition of Elephant Walk continued Nov. 25. Now 82
years old, the custom of senior classmates joining together
for a final walk around campus started with the Class
of 1926. As seniors, they made the first symbolic pass
around the school's grounds to signify the end of their
time on campus. Since then, through support from The
Association of Former Students, the walk has continued
to be a way for seniors to gather, reminisce and say
goodbye.
