The 411 on Alumnae Dues

What are alumnae dues?
International alumnae dues are yearly contributions alumnae make to Alpha Phi International. They include your Founders' Day Pennies (a penny for every year Alpha Phi has been in existence) as well as dollars that help fund the ongoing programs, products and services that keep Alpha Phi strong. By paying your dues, you are showing your outward commitment to Alpha Phi.

How much are dues?
Annual dues currently cost $31.37. As another option, you can pay lifetime dues in the amount of $325 and never have to worry about paying your dues again! (These prices reflect the current fiscal year and are good through June 30, 2010.)

How do I pay my dues?
You can pay your dues online with a credit card by clicking here. You can also send a check to the Alpha Phi Executive Office located at 1930 Sherman Avenue in Evanston, IL (60201). Feel free to call 847.316.8940 with any questions.

"I wanted to pay my dues because Alpha Phi gave so much to me over my college career, and I want to make sure that I allow other women to have the same extraordinary experience I did."

Lauren Huff (DePauw - Gamma, 2008), Student at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Where does my money go? Why are my dues important?
Alpha Phi International is constantly working on developing new, exciting programs and opportunities for its members. From production of the award-winning Quarterly magazine to the development of our new blog or "On the Go" podcast, your dues help us improve the old and expand to new frontiers.

Why do I have to start paying dues now? I thought I was done paying when I graduated?
Actually, you've been paying your International dues throughout your college experience; they were included in the larger dues you paid to your chapter that included other costs (i.e. housing, merchandise, or formals). You are an Alpha Phi forever but to remain in "good standing" and to benefit from all that Alpha Phi has to offer, paying your dues is essential.

What do I get from dues?
When you pay your dues, you gain full access to Alpha Phi's Online Community (an online database where you can locate sisters, share announcements, and find networking information), you receive a full subscription to the Quarterly magazine and you also benefit from a host of terrific corporate discounts.

If I pay my International alumnae dues, does that mean I don't have to pay dues for an alumnae chapter? International alumnae dues are actually separate from alumnae chapter dues. They help contribute to the International Fraternity as a whole. If you choose to join a local chapter, you may also be asked to pay local dues. Alumnae chapter dues vary by chapter and help fund events, social programs, newsletters and fundraising efforts specific to that group.
