Will You Help Us?
Your local Salvation Army relies on your donations to the Red Kettle to meet needs in your community for a full year.
The annual Red Kettle campaign is The Salvation Army’s single largest fundraiser. The funds raised each year in a community through your donations to the Red Kettle provide the majority of The Salvation Army’s funds for that year. The money raised in your hometown stays in your hometown, providing food, shelter, clothing, and financial assistance to your neighbors in need throughout the following year.
In 2009, your generous donations to our Red Kettles raised $8.2 million, and The Salvation Army spent $10.3 million meeting the physical needs of Texans in need.
In 2010, we have seen a steady increase in demand for Salvation Army assistance across the state. And, thanks to the Census, we now know that a full 17 percent of Texans are living below the federal poverty level. So we are preparing for record numbers of Texans requesting our

assistance to meet their basic needs for good, nutritious food; safe and secure shelter; and protective shoes and clothing.
Will you help us meet the rising need? Every dollar, every quarter you can add to the Red Kettle will help your local Salvation Army support your neighbors in need in 2011.
