Aaron Copland, Honorary Member and Man of Music

In March 1961, Aaron Copland, Alpha Upsilon (Arizona) '61-Hon., was initiated into Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Copland was one of the most respected American classical composers of the twentieth century.

At the Fraternity's Fortieth National Convention at Interlochen, Michigan in 1970, Copland was recognized as the Man of Music. He was the ninth person in Sinfonia's history to be awarded.
