Is Lava Butte open?

Visitors may access Lava Butte by non-motorized at any time generally from dawn to dusk. The parking area for the visitor center is open year-round and access is dependent upon snow accumulations during winter months.

Can you drive up Lava Butte Oregon?

Please note this is a road leading up to Lava Butte. During the off-season, you can also drive up and park at the top. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, there is a shuttle running from the Lava Lands Visitor Center that can also bring you up to Lava Butte.
